Please Help me to connect my 9530 with toshiba laptop
Please Login to Remove!
I have a Toshiba laptop L640 series with Windows 7 home.
I just bought backberry storm 9530 (made in mexico, verizone)
Now my computer will charge my Blackberry (through the USB port) but it won't detect or recognize it.
I downloaded the latest software from Blackberry v 6.0.0.40 (and even tried installing it from the original CD v 4.7.0.25), but it still won't work.
"MTP USB device not recognize" in device manager
i have reinstalled blackberry software many times
but still dosn`t work
Both of my laptop's USB ports work, which picked up other devices on them.
What am I doing wrong? (If this has been addressed already, please excuse this post since I am new here. I did search for solutions online, but I couldn't find one.)
I have upgrade the os to v 5.0.0.1041 from my friend laptop (asus)
Re: Please Help me to connect my 9530 with toshiba laptop
Are you using a hub, or USB on a keyboard, monitor, or something like that? If so, try connecting the BlackBerry USB cable directly to a USB directly on the computer.

I'm going to assume you have mass storage mode/Media Transfer Protocol (MTP) enabled in memory options. If that is the case, change to off or diasable or whatever. Then try again and see what happens.
If the error goes away and Desktop Manager connects and you are able to sync contacts, calendar, etc. and do backups, that will be a partial solution.
At any rate, do the above and let's see what happens.
Re: Please Help me to connect my 9530 with toshiba laptop
I should have suggested this up front, and maybe you've already tried it anyway.... A hard reset. With the power one, remove the battery for at least 30 seconds. Then try again. Other than that, I'm out of ideas.
EDIT: I do have another idea, at least maybe something I would try if it were me.... a clean uinstall then reinstall Desktop Manager. But see what others say before going to the trouble.
