Hello,
I have a app / game for blackberry smartphones and the playbook.
I need some guidance on hosting this app.
Am i supposed to submit it only and BB will take care of it? or am i supposed to host it on some server and then submit my app?

please guide me through the process.

You can distribute your app any way that you like.; your own server, App World, Handango, etc.
