Searching for an alternative to Telenav, I installed Garmin Mobile on my TMO 8800 yesterday. For the short time I have had it, it has worked fine with the internal GPS unit.

Issue fixed itself. No clue why it happened. Worked fine for a month, with no changes on my end, then went nuts for half a day, and now seems to have recovered.

I was told the same thing "24-48 hrs". It turned out my account was not properly provisioned for BIS (RIM had me set up as a BES account in error). One call to the TMO Blackberry support folks got it...

Had been running OM on my TMO .64 OS for some time and never had any compatibility issues that I noticed. Upgraded to the TIM 1.66 OS and still going strong.

Had the same issue when I first got mine. Be sure you push the silver sim holder until it clicks into place. Be sure it's all the way forward. I had to push down gently while sliding it forward.

As far as I know, you need a data plan with all of the map software. I'm using a Holux 236 with my Pearl and Telenav. Works great.
