Any changes for google apps for domain email?

Does the new BIS 2.3 fix the issue for google apps mail (ie gmail but with your own domain)? Prior you had the issue that it would not sync since bis saw it as a pop vs a gmail.

I work for a large bank and just logged on to get a curve. Not too impressed with the price and looks like they are jacking up the "base" cost to make it look good. 299 does not sound that great....
