Cingular and T-Mobile use the same technology, not towers. They may share the same towers in some areas, but so do Verizon and Sprint. Good point about the plans and prices.

My 7130 is as good as the 8700 and even better...

My 7130 is as good as the 8700 and even better with my Bluetooth earpieces. I tried the motorolla HS 810, HS 820, and HS 850 and my favorite the jabra BT250v.

Q3 is PTT release date

I was just informed by our Cingular rep that there will be a free firmware upgrade scheduled for Q3. This will enable the button on the left side to use the PTT feature on their EDGE network.

Cingular's flavor is to be released late October or early November. I've seen one at a RIM / Cingular road show. It is fast and sweet!
