Previously, Voice Search in Google Maps 2.3.1 wouldn't work on my VZW Pearl w/earlier versions of 4.5 OS.

Now, with 4.5.0.97 (beta release) it does work. I didn't remember to check w/4.5.0.89 (most recent 8130 OS formally released).

Just wanted to note this - whatever issue GMaps had w/Voice Search in earlier OS releases appears to be going, going, gone.

I can't get 2.3.1 to work with OS 4.5.0.89. I'm dl'ing 2.3.2 now.

2.3.2 works with .89. And it works well!

SWEEEETT!!! I use Google Maps frequently while driving and this new Voice searching will make you all a lot safer!

I know you're trying to make us feel better, but the idea that you're using Google Maps while driving is simply scary...I hope you're only referring to it when stopped.

Did you know that if you have a BT GPS puck you can use VZNav with the puck w/out any charges from Verizon? A better way to go...as Homer would say "Mmmmm...voice prompts." ;)

i have google maps 2.3.2 loaded on bb bold.

i dont see "voice search" any where.

what am i missing?????
