Default Dead 8300. Can it be rebooted?

Please Login to Remove!

I left an application running on my 8300 over night and the next morning, after trying to charge it back up, it was dead.

No screen, nothing. Dead.

It "broke" on saturday, and when I took it to the Carphone Warehouse on Monday it was 2 days out of warrenty.

So I am 2 days out of warrenty and 6 months before I can get a free upgrade. Is there anyway anyone knows to breathe life back into it?

The shop say its a software problem. insurance won't pay as they say its a manufacturers problem. Blackberry say its Carphone Warehouse problem. Carphone Warehouse say its 2 days out of warrenty and tough!

Help please!!!!

when you charged the device how long did you let it charge? it can take 20-30 minutes before you will get it to power on from that. make sure you have pulled the battery out for 30 seconds, then put it back in as a hard reset. also try a new battery to see if the battery itself just died. What was the application you left running?

Welcome to the forums.

Will it charge, if plugged into the USB charging cable, to a wall outlet?

So is it dead, as in battery dead, or won't turn on. Does the LED blink red at all?

Thanks for the replies so far.

I always leave the phone attached to my PC via USB overnight (can't shut the PC down because of work) so it should have charged over night.

When it didn't, I assumed the battery was very dead indeed, so I used the normal charger and left it all morning and half way until the afternoon.

The charger and the battery were both checked in the shop.

There is no signs of life in the phone. No LED, no sign of a backlight in the screen.

The application I left running was a game Mega City Empire New York. I had pressed the standby button to try and preserve the battery while keep the game running but by the time I got back to it the phone was dead.

Well it can be two things, your charger doesn't charge and that's the faulty one, or you can try replacing the battery with a new one. Check to see if your usb charger work by connecting it with something else that has a mini usb port or something.

Hmm sorry if you did that already, but did you do a battery pull? I noticed that that wasn't mentioned.
