Default Email Deletion Question

Please Login to Remove!

When I delete emails from hotmail on my device it also syncs with the actual box and deletes it as well. However with my gmail, it does not do that. How can I get my gmail to sync with my device to delete the emails and vice versa???

Mine asks to sync deletions as well, but does not do so...=[ so far no luck on my readings, reconciliation or resets or re-syncs or the Gmail app....i just don't know =-[

Try: 1. Uninstall Gmail app.
2. Uninstall GSync app.
3. Reinstall GSync FIRST & Setup.
4. Reinstall Gmail app.

If you have the APP.

Make sure you go into messages > menu > options > reconcilliation > turn it to either prompt or on mailbox/handheld. It does delete, just takes a LONG time.

I don't use the Gmail App, I just programed it with the normal BB email services. I've tried these steps, checked my settings, and it still didnt' work. Also, when I open the email on my device and check my actual gmail box later, those same emails are still marked as "unread". So basically it doesn't delete the email and it doesn't mark them as read.

I just found this thread from searching ....I have the same problem with my hotmail and gmail accounts on my device..please refer to my thread i had made: http://www.blackberryforums.com/blac...hotmail+delete

"I have a VZW CDMA Curve 8330 and am on BIS (2.5). I have my free Hotmail account linked to my phone and it works great. When I read or delete a mail from my device, the same effect goes through to my actual Hotmail inbox. But when I read or delete it initially from my actual Hotmail inbox using a PC, these changes do not carry over to my device. The e-mail will still show as unread or not deleted depending on which I did. Any ideas why this is happening? It works great the other way (device to inbox). The 'reconciliation' function has never seemed to do a THING at all in any situation so I don't know what else to try to fix the issue. I just tested this same thing with my Gmail account that is also linked to my device and it seems that the same thing is happening, deletes and first reads do not carry over to the device. Is this supposed to happen or what? Thanks in advance all."
