Just a random query:

Is it possible for a Blackberry, or any kind of phone at all, to pick up the Citizen's Band (CB) frequency, like the one used by truckers? CB frequencies range from 1-23 standard, and 1-40 on deluxe models. Is there some kind of program/hack etc. that can accomplish that? I know Walkie-Talkies can pick them up by accident, what about cell phones?

I'm just curious. I don't really have a use for it, but someone may!

I use an 8310 BB phone.

It is very unlikely this will be put into a cell phone.

I would have never even thought of something like this.........interesting, albeit useless I would imagine.

Maybe watched too much Smokey and the Bandit this weekend?

Can you imagine how badly this would destroy your battery?

Cb is in the 27Mhz or 11 meter bad and I can not see how there is anything that you could do to pick it up on a cell phone.

If it's very, very important to you, you can create a one-piece solution with a small handheld CB transceiver, a BlackBerry and two large rubber bands.
