I have a old model blackberry pearl from Cingular.

Its got the rollerball and shit so I dont think its the 8110 but I'm trying to get a complete OS update, does the 4.5 for 8110 work on a pearl?

Well if you have the 8100 Pearl

that's the update you need.
But first make sure you know which version of the Pearl you need.
I'm not too sure how firmware for different phone version works but to be safe you have to check.

and it should say Blackberry 81xx (xx being the number) :o

Look on the sticker underneath the battery to determine the exact model number. You must install software for your specific model. For example, the 8100 software will not work on a 8110, 8120, or 8130.
