Its light sensitive with a light sensor near the LED. Put your finger over the LED and the keyboard and trackball hould light up. If not, reboot and try again.

you need to get a new service book from your carrier. They may not have released it just yet, though. I have it working with AT&T

Ok, I figured out the light. Thanks.
But I found another problem today.

I went to Video Recorder and just tried to record a video. But it says "Failed to start recording" everytime I tried to record it.

No. You can install this version if you have an 8310 from AT&T or any carrier. You don't have to wait until your carrier releases it.

Default Upgrade issue with desktop software

Hi - I've just pgraded to the 4.5.0.52 OS - seems to work fine. Before I upgraded the OS, I upgraded the desktop manager to 4.5.0.15, which doesn't appear to have Roxio Media Manager anywhere. Can you help please?

Default Problem with the last OS 4.5.0.52 for 8310

Hi all,
I have some problem with the last OS (4.5.0.52) for my blackberry 8310.
Now when I want to use Google maps I have an error when it want to accept the application Permissions for access to the radio. if I select Allow. the BB is Blocked and the only solution is to take off the batterie.
Somebody have an idea ?

many thanks

Regards

Go back to the blackberry site and download desktop manager 4.5 with media manager. There are 2 versions to download, one with and one without.

I fixed the video recording problem. I had to reformat the Media Card and then it started working.

But I found another problem when i tried installing ringtones. I did the thing to gain more memory. Previously, I added the ringtones using 4.2 Desktop Manager and now I've updated to 4.5 so I dont know if I'm doing it wrong or if it isn't working. I have about 10 ringtones on the phone already and they are saved to the Device Memory. When I tried to drag them into the Ringtones folder in Device Memory, it kept saying "not enough memory in device".

But I deleted like 4 pictures and a couple ringtones and it kept saying that. So what is the problem?

How'd you do it? I installed it and it's in the application list but the icon won't show up.

I followed the steps to a Tee, first error message was no enough room on my BB to install my selection. So i unchecked all the languages i didnt need, and a few other things like BB messenger i dont use. Got past that part, saw the warning about reactivating over wireless blah blah, and hit go.

I was told an error occured (in the DM window) click ok to abort, and it went back to the DM main menu. I had to battery pull and use manage connections to get the phone back. What went wrong?
