Maybe it's just a TMO problem with too many users trying to get onto UMA. No matter what we do, it won't matter if they cannot handle the demand.

I am back on UMA now. I did a second battery pull around 10:30 and it reconnected. I hope you all are back on now.
I tried to get TMO to credit me the $9.99 I paid for this monthxxx8217;s service but they said they could not credit my account until the troubleshooting ticket is marked as resolvedxxx8230;????

Another
I'm in ATL - didn't notice uma down last week - although I wasn't around much so it very well may have. But all day today it has been down and I have a terrible phone signal at the house which is why I have H@H in the first place, and I run my business out of my house. So this is a big issue for me, hopefully we get some resolution soon....

I was having problems in Atlanta again today, too. My UMA was up but cutting in and out all afternoon and I was having some problems with EDGE switching from EDGE to SOS every so often. EDGE seemed to be fine while I was out and about and I didn't lose any calls unless I was passing through a known T-Mo Black Hole.
Both my EDGE and my UMA services were non-existent for a while this evening, but that proved to be the result of an unseated SIM card. I guess I didn't lock it in place very well when I tested the replacement handset that I was sent as a result of the UMA fiasco last week. When reinstalling it into my phone, I didn't push the door up far enough today and when I pulled the battery this evening to reset the phone, it just fell out of place. It is locked in nice and tight now and the phone is now working properly. I checked my Mobile Network Provider in Manage Connections before I realized the SIM card needed to be reseated and it was showing up as AT&T! Anybody else have this setting show up on their phone? It is automatic as the phone scans for a network and evidently it was picking up AT&T's network but not connecting to it (obviously). What a mess!
BTW, as one poster noted on page 1, refusing replacement handsets was probably a good idea. The one I was sent had serious keypad problems and I just packed it back up and returned it with a note from me.

I haven't had UMA all day. Spent an hour on the phone with Blackberry/UMA support and they opened another ticket. Last week it was a bandwidth issue on the punc server. Who knows what it is now. I just hope they get it fixed soon. Getting tired of UMA being down. I live in black hole and get nothing without UMA. To answer your AT&T question, yes I have seen that a lot recently. This is a TMO issue, not a handset issue. They need to get all their support people on the same page.

No Sense
My wife and I both have 8120s. My handset connects to UMA fine, her's does not. Doesn't make sense to me, seeing that we've got the same settings and are connected to the same router.

I am in SW Atlanta and I have UMA. However, I did apply the fix that was mentioned here last week and maybe that's why I am doing okay today. Who know?!

I am in Sandy Springs, a northern suburb of Atlanta. No UMA most of the afternoon and as I have worked through the T-Mobile string of Customer Service reps, they continue to insist it is my router. The woman I am speaking to right now in the Blackberry group insists it is my router. Even though I am connected to the internet as I talk to her.

The T-Mobile rep just walked me through a battery pull and router reset (even though I told her numerous times that would not work ;) ) She is now sending me to router support, as she is convinced I am the only one with an issue, and it's the router.
I hung up.

I spoke to someone from TMO about an hour ago. The were giving me a call back about my ticket. She said they were now recognizing an outage and the engineers had just started working on it. Sorry, no ETA or anything like that. They did offer to credit my account minutes or money, so a small ray of light.

Still Out
Still out today - I'm ITP. I don't understand why, if all of us are calling TMO with the same problem, they still insist it is an individual problem! I told them to go on this forum and look at the thread of people having this issue in our area but no, why would they believe a forum....

UPDATE: I was thinking, I didn't notice any problems last week when everyone reported it - but I might not have been around to notice it - but anyways, the only thing that I've changed since then is adding a MicroSD card the other day. Someone else mentioned a loose SIM card, so I removed my MicroSD card, rebooted, and also took a look at the Advanced settings inside of the Wifi Diagnostics screen - this gives a bit more info about the UMA server it is connecting to. When I got back to the main screen, UMA was back up. So, at this point, I don't know if it was due to:
(1) Removing my MicroSD card
(2) Futzing with the Advanced Wifi Diagnostics screen
(3) Pure coincidence
But, I'll spend a few minutes playing around to see if I can narrow it down at all but in the meantime it might give some of you some things to look into - even though the first two don't really make sense??
