Default Blackberry simulator

Please Login to Remove!

Hi!

I would like knowing about the simulator running; My wish is how to delete an application which has been installed before; is it possible to delete the rms too? Ive developed some applications which use the RMS so I need to clean it up everytime I want to debug the application, please, is there some chance to make it in a proper way? is it possible to restart the simulator "deleting" the installed content to be able to make a clean copy? My problem is, everytime I want to debug, Ive got the dirty copy in the simulator, and it does not work properly because of it, thx in advance.

Kind regards

Look in the folder of the particular simulator and sort the items by modified date. There should be 5-6 files that have been recently modified. Just delete those and it will be back to a fresh install.

The best way to do all this in one go... is use clean.bat
that reduces the risk of accidentally loosing imp files.

Got to 'simulator' folder of your RIM software...and click "clean.bat" ...
It takes a while to clean everything.. but it will clear RMS and apps ...

You should make this an automatic process so you won't have to do anything extra between invocations of the simulator.

If you're using the JDE go to Edit->Preferences; Simulator tab; Memory sub-tab, and check "Reset the filesystem on startup".

Another way is to edit the .bat file of the simulator(s) you're running, and add

/clear-flash

to the end of the "fledge.exe" command. The downside is that you have to do this to all the simulators you're running.

You can check the settings for fledge by executing

fledge.exe /help

from a command line. You may also be interested in /reset-nvram or /reset-filesystem.

Cheers,

karl
