I say that myself. But when I did the wipe of my device using JL_Cmder and then loaded 4.5.0.52 back onto it, no more double t-zones icon.

Nice! I'll give that a try. Thanks for the heads up Dave!

LOL.... Luck wasn't with me yesterday!

I tried to wipe my phone using JL Cmdr. Didn't work for me, not sure why. Followed the instructions for what to do if JL Cmdr won't connect and wipe. Thought I was doing everything right and everything seemed to be going smoothly. When I started up my phone again after the wipe and reinstall, my screen doesn't look the same. Basically everything is white and the icons on my screen are black line drawings (for lack of a better description). When I look at my Options, I see I am using the correct release. I see that all my modules have loaded. But I am unable to figure out how to put my themes back. I have gone to Options;Themes and I have 2 available to select (dimension L and Tmo Zen), but I can not select either one (I can see that both modules did load). I am unable to use the camera. I have gotten several java arguement errors. I'm not really sure how to fix this.

I have tried to restore my last back up and nothing changes (all my data is OK, contacts, messages, etc....). Phone/email work fine as well.

I am guessing there is a setting I need to change. I just don't know what it is.

I'm also kind of curious as to why JL Cmdr didn't work for me.

I did peruse through the thread using search, but didn't find anyone with a problem similar to mine.

Any help from you guys would be GREATLY appreciated.

One other thing I did notice is that I have a whopping 29+mb of free memory..... so now I am kind of thinking that something important didn't load.

I'm going to try the wipe and reinstall again. See what happens.

Love this website by the way. I always find cool stuff and answers to most of my BB problems.

OK, just found the NOTE in the memory optimizing instructions that describe my problem. I guess I must have removed a theme that was in use. However, my phone won't let me select a theme to put it back ...so to speak. I have 2 available choices in my themes list, but I am unable to select either one.

OK. I think I got it. I moved the bbdimension zen cod file to the Removed Modules file. Memory Optimizing guide even says not to remove it. I didn't realize that cod file was the basis for some of the others to function (I guess that is why it is so much larger than the other theme files ???).

I put it back and will see what happens.

Sorry for the million posts. Without my BB fully functional, I am lost, cold and scared and barely hanging on to sanity. Monday's suck.

I just saw this, yes, that is what you need to do.

If you have only a base looking black and white them, you have deleted your active theme, or one that is needed for the theme you use. You can switch to another theme, BUT, to get back what you had, you will need to reload those themes.

Is this, or is this not, the proper release of the OS
I'd really like it but if its still some sort of beta, then im not touching it.

Also, will it work on a TMO UK blackberry?

I see you have a 8310? This release is for the 8320. Won't work on an 8310. Otherwise, if you have an 8320, it'll work if you delete the vendor.xml file as instructed.

I have used it for a few days and it was great..... until I tried to get all fancy and botched it up.

Upgraded to 4.5 yesterday. My first install ended with a fatal error (most likely because of running Parallels and the screen saver starting) but the second went off without a hitch. The new features are really great and I enjoy my phone all over again. My only gripe is the Wifi is still a little weird. My current phone is a refurb replacement from my first under warranty. My phone will sometimes hard reset while on wifi completely at random. Other than that, great stuff. Thanks guys for all the help!

Random hard resets are usually due to media card issues. Do you have a media card?

Wirelessly posted

Its sorta a beta release I think technically you couldn't call any release a beta now since there are officials up. The newer would just be called unreleased or unofficial releases. I need 58 !

Wirelessly posted (8320)

Is there a way to download it straight to the 8320?

Nope, otherwise such detailed and painstaking instructions as in the first post and those that follow would not be necessary

I loaded this os yesterday and it crashed when I tried to use my old theme..I ended up having to go back to my old OS as it wiped everything...I think I'll wait until TMO comes out w/ their version..
