Default New 8330 Owner, Hello from NY!

Hi forum members!

Just picked up a new Curve 8330 this morning and stumbled into this amazing forum while trying to find out how to change some settings.

I've been using a Samsung i760 for the past year. And before that was a Treo 650. Have never experienced a Blackberry before and, so far, really liking this new Curve. Setup a few email accounts, stuck in a 2GB Micro SD full of music, set up Bluetooth connections to my laptop and headset, and it's good to go!

Anyways, just wanted to stop in and introduce myself. Thanks for having me!

-Ken

Well I have to say, after just 1/2 day with a BlackBerry, this is the best Smartphone I've ever owned. Everything just works. And it's all very intuitive too. There's a bit of a learning curve to get the settings just right. But it's so fast! I really didn't like the Samsung phone with Windows Mobile -- it was too slow to respond to user input for my liking. I'm also appreciating having a smaller, much lighter phone. Cheers!

So after spending a year with a Palm Treo and a year with a Windows Mobile i760, I can say with complete confidence that the RIM systems are the best. It just works. I love how fast it is. The Palm systems are nearly incapable of doing anything else when they are doing something network related. The WM systems are just dam slow, period. With this Curve, everything is snappy, the keyboard is great, the display is bright and crisp, the call quality is superb, and I don't feel like I'm holding a size 10 shoe to my ear! Should have done this years ago!!

Glad you are loving your new hand. I will call it that, because it will never leave it soon.
