Default When I press ignore, does the person calling know I pressed it?

Please Login to Remove!

Like will pressing ignore suddenly send them to voicemail, or does it just keep ringing to them like normal until 4-5 rings?

So I seriously have to sit there and listen to my ringtone play out to not look like a total buttwipe?

Isn't that a "bug" ? :P

hit the mute button on top, will mute the phone but not send them to voice mail.

Also, if you are out of coverage your callers will likely hear maybe one ring and then it will go to voicemail. So if you hit ignore, they won't really know whether you hit ignore or were out of coverage. This stuff just isn't that consistent.

Wirelessly posted (BB 8330)

You can also hit the up or down volume key which will silence the call.

If your phone is off, it goes directly to voice mail, also.

Actually on Tmobile (I don't know about other carriers) if you hit ignore, it actually doesn't go directly to voicemail, it will ring a couple more times. However, when you do hit ignore, the ring tone on the caller's end will go up in volume. Give it a try, call your own phone from another phone and then hit ignore on your BB.

Hmm...interesting. I have T-mobile and my bf always knows when I hit ignore cause he says it goes straight to my vm. Also, I have a couple friends with Tmo and it goes straight to vm when they do it to me.

You're right, I'm just an idiot. Mine does do what I said it does, but only because I don't use Tmobile's voicemail service, it's forwarded somewhere else.

So for those people who use the providers VM service, yes it will go straight to voicemail.

Lol, not an idiot, just someone with a plan/workaround for the ignore>straight to VM situation.

You know, if a caller has a problem with being sent to voicemail that's not my problem...

I could be in a meeting.

I could be in the bathroom.

There could be any other of a numer of possible reasons why I'm not taking a call at that moment. I'm not a 24/7 phone answering service but I guess YMMV.
