Sprint 8330 Telenav not displaying maps
Please Login to Remove!
Well I'm on my second Curve from Sprint and now I'm getting the same problem I had with the first one -- the map function in Sprint Navigation has stopped displaying my location (or the location of any of my favorites, recent spots, etc.) The map shows 'loading', but nothing appears on the screen. I have unloaded and reloaded the Navigation application, done a complete wipe, and called Sprint and Telenav support but no one knows what the problem is. It was working fine up until today and then just stopped. The actual navigation function still works properly, just no map display. Any ideas? Help!

That's just it, I have called both Sprint and Telenav and neither has a solution. I finally used JL Commander to totally clear everything out and reload. It did work for awhile but is now messed up again. I can't believe 2 phones would have the same issue, so I'm assuming a software problem.

Which solution are you paying for - Sprint Navigation or TeleNav? Are you using the correct app?

I have the Sprint Navigation application, but Sprint uses a modified version of Telenav, so I tried calling their customer service as well.

Did you install Sprint Navigation? The apps are different.

Yes, Sprint Navigation. It appears to be an off and on again problem, as sometimes it works and other times it just hangs and won't display the map. I'm hoping that when the 4.5 software comes out for Sprint it may work better.

I'm having similar problems
Actually, it sounds like the same issues. I've only had my curve 2.5 days, my first curve after a Centro and years of Palms. Anyway, I too have called tech service and my "trouble ticket" has been escalated twice with no solution in sight. Did they ever solve your problem?

I can't verify that this is fact or not but it seems to be that people on at&t that use at&t repackaged nav app have more problems then those who obtain Telenav directly from Telenav... I wouldn't be surprised to find that the same holds true for Sprint users. Do you have the option of getting Telenav directly from them?

After recently purchase a GPS receiver, I signed up for the Telenav 30 day trial on my 8703e and had this same exact issue for the first two days, then suddenly this morning it started working out of the blue, I thought the first two days were a fluke, I'll let you guys know if it comes back.
I posted about it at telenav's forum and have not gotten an answer yet.

UPDATE: Again, yesterday afternoon maps would not load, then this morning they loaded instantly.
If it's this unreliable, I won't be keeping it past the 30 day trial.
