you can install the application all you want, and even backup/restore the service book for the client, however, it won't work. the issues are this: 1) the application requires a YHO service book to work; 2) when you restore the service book, you overwrite all of your other service books, thus you have to re-register on the network to get back the others, thus wiping out the Yahoo service book's gateway.
unless you're on Nextel or Rogers, whom have the Yahoo client provisioned, you won't be able to use this application. i almost find it offensive they'd put exclusivity on this product, assuming thats what this is... if not, TMO's greed factor has jumped up way too much on this one.
