Default Sync'ing tasks so I get stuff done and my wife stops hitting me!

Please Login to Remove!

Evening all, 8310 curve here, and as the subject states *ouch* I am not finishing things, I have lists all over and would rather use my bb for tasks. But... to enter them is kind of a pain, so I would love an app to do so.

Background ... Primarily run OpenSuse 11 which is not about to change, so I have calendar sync with google sync mobile and the calendar exported into thunderbird/lightning which works perfect. I have played a bit with RTM (remember the milk) and the calendar plugin and it works nicely, and now I see htey have their app supposedly working, (Remember The Milk - Services / MilkSync / MilkSync for BlackBerry) )

So, I am not posting this in the linux forum as I do have xp on my wifes home machine, and there might be a cool way for her to (God help me) enter tasks from the house which will sync with the bb task app which would really be cool. I could add, edit and an OTA sync would update in a local app such Outlook or some other windows app, but been doing a lot of reading, and there doesn't seem to be that app that does what google has done with their calendar!

Anyway, I need to go work on my to-do list :( Thanks for at least reading till the end and offering .02 (if you do that is).

Lr

You are entering dangerous territory--setting your wife up a method in which to place TO-DO tasks on YOUR BlackBerry.

You might just be breaking a "man-law".

Please, step away from your BB until you regain your senses.

Back on topic, now.

You want a Windows app for your wife's PC wherein she can enter tasks for you, that will sync OTA/wirelessly to your BB.

I know of an app like that to be installed on the BB, not the PC.

Well if you tuly wish to give the missus that kind of control then you might want to check out ToDoMatrx This would provide the synchronization abilities you speak of through their REXdesktop service.

It is not free, but well worth the money. Hope this helps and Good Luck!

I knew a title such as that would get the mod's attentions! But, back to 'the app', didn't care to much if it was an app, web app, etc. Just wanted pretty much what RTM did (only free!) and what google did with their calendar sync.

I would like to be at work, enter tasks on the laptop which would then sync with the bb tasks. At the same time the Mrs. be able to look/add tasks (not knowing I unchecked that wife category filter so won't see them) rather than coming home to a post-it note of items, which I then will add but it seems like a lot of work which can be avoided with the right application.

RTM is that item (but they want to charge $25). I would even settle for a desktop sync so I am patiently waiting and working with Chris and the guys on the Barry project, on their list, but it's just not near ready for more than a backup.

The to-do matrix looked nice, but $59 making it much less appealing, but do appreciate the feedback and laughs from the responses.

Thanks again ....
