Default BOLD Problems

I read with interest at all the problems I see people posting about their BOLD. Should we use the rule of thumb with a new car design and wait until it's been out for awhile and then wait for all the bugs to be worked out and then purchase one?

Also, anyone found a max battery and max battery cover for the BOLD yet?

If you want one, go get it. OS's will be upgraded. If you wait, something else better will be out and it will be new.

Wirelessly posted (off to see the wizard)

I'm gonna have to agree with JC

If ya want one get it none of the problems reported that I have seen are beyond being fixable with a software update

Why don't you go out and buy one, then you can feel the problem your self and share them all

And remember, in many cases, the "problems" are due to users not understanding capabilities of the device, or how to use it.

I truly believe that most of the problems with the bold are from whiny people who waited for a new toy and then found out it was just a really cool phone ,not keys to the universe

I remember when the 8700 came out, I bought it the week it came out and there was a laundry list of s/w and h/w issues with the device. Still, using the latest device out there felt so good. And these issues will always be there.

If you think you need to wait for the design to be perfected, by the time it is (if it is), the device will be old and a new one already taking its place!

Take the iPhone example. Everyone is so excited to use the device that they forget the limitations, annoyances and even bugs. Whats the big deal in the device rebooting a few times here and there

As a previous early adopter of Win Mobile Smartphones I can say that the Bold (my first BB) has been
more stable out of the box than any recent HTC device I've used.

There are niggles...but many seem to be down to network provider restrictions..BBMaps on Orange for
example.

The hardware really is great and the software can only get better.
