Is there any way to use portable speakers with a blackberry? Is there a conversion adaptor or something I can buy? If so, Where?

You can buy Bluetooth speakers, from most electronics stores.

Well my son actually uses computer speakers with his BB.

I tried computer speakers, but the ummm... thingie doesn't fit in the headphone hole. Sorry if I sound like a n00b. I don't know the technical terms. LOL

Your speakers will likely need to be amplified to get any decent volume...

QuantumRN, note that you need to buy the Seidio adapter linked above by zerog, and not just buy a 2.5 mm to 3.5 mm adapter from any electronics store. The adapters in Radio Shack (for example) have thingies that fit the Blackberry hole, but they don't actually work.
