MMS/4.6.0.147/Rogers/Unable to connect to WAP
Please Login to Remove!
Hello,
Has anyone had any problems sending an MMS message.
While attempting to send an MMS, I received the following error:
Unable to send message
When I click on details, I see the following:
Failed to connect to WAP.
Has anyone had any problems connecting to WAP for MMS sending &/or is there a fix?
Thanks,
--Phil

Check two items.
1. Options > Advanced > Service Book. Do you see two MMS service books listed there?
2. Options > Advanced > TCP. You have your Regers APN entered there?

What size of mms are you trying to send cause I've discovered that the bold is not resizing the pics to fit within mms parameters. Therefore is you take a 2mp pic it fails to send but if you take a smaller pic it will send. It's problem regardless of whether you're running 147 or 150.

Unfortunately that doesn't solve the problem.

Is there a way to resize the picture or do I have to retake?

The smaller size did it. Now, is there a way to send the larger pictures or force the bb to resize?
Thanks,

I don't think you can do either from on your bold. You either need to take the pic in the smaller size to begin with or send it either through bb mess, email or msn.
It was suggested to me by a RIM employee that it might work on the original Rogers 125 OS but I'm not prepared to go back to find out so someone that is still running 125 on Rogers should take a pic in full 2mp mode and try tosend as mms and let us know if it works.

I am still running 125 on Rogers, I just sent myself a pic on Large (1600x1200) and it worked fine.
I don't often send MMS so I am wondering if I should upgrade to 147, or wait for the official Rogers update release.
Anyone know when that may happen?

i was able to send a 1600x1200 picture on Rogers .147 to Carsmovies today fine
however, it doesnt' come out as a 1600x1200 pic on his end. the MMS server will resize it so it fits within a 300kb allowance
I have no issues sending/receiving MMS on Rogers with my Bold on .147

I just tried to send you one too and it didn't work. Btw, it's the device that needs to resize the pic prior to sending and not the network that does.
