Default Brightness of BB7290 vs. BB 7100t

I have a BB7100t and would like to know if the BB7290 screen, with backlight on at max brightness, is as bright as the 7100t's screen when the latter is set to 100 in the Display tool?

Man, 7290 looks great in black hence the name "Blackberry" why did Rogers Wireless go with that awful blue colour used on the 7280 model?
