What's the point of owning a Blackberry then. ;) We are supposed to be on the cutting edge with technology.

I use my Blackberry to do online banking all the time, both for business and personal. Once you get hooked you will wonder where it's been all this time.

Interesting. I get this:

For online Access with Wells Fargo you must use a supported browser.

How did you get in?

If you are using the BB emulator for the browser try using the IE emulator, see if that helps.

Even Toronto Dominion Bank has a WAP Cellphone Banking website, purpose built for cellphones... ( http://www.td.com/w ) .... Make sure you set emulation to "WAP Only" rather than "WAP and HTML". Online trading by WAP too. They also have a MiniHTML version of the web banking too, but at a longer URL. (Search "MiniHTML" using the Search link at the top)

I can even access the full HTML web banking site for TD, but only through my BES system. (Though BIS 4.1 probably works too, if you enable JavaScript)

In fact, I occasionally do "Just In Time" banking through my BlackBerry in a grocery checkout lineups or ATM lineups, when I don't have enough money in one of my debit accounts, and need to transfer the money between two accounts. Poof. I now have enough money on my ATM card, mere seconds before I type my PIN into the pad.

Pretty mudane stuff, really.

hi Mark,
i coud not find out Mini HTML for td.com,, if u can send me the link that will be great

I can log into Wells Fargo using the username/pass prompt on http://www.wellsfargo.com

However, I can't do it from the one here: http://banking.wellsfargo.com

I am able to access my back and move stuff and see balances. The page isn't real pretty but, it is usable.

I don't see that option under the Browser Configuration properties. Does the 7100G even provide it? I only see BB emulation. Thanks.

Click on the browser, click on that window, choose options, choose browser configuration, scroll down to emulation mode, and finally click on the wheel and choose change option, when you get in there choose Microsoft IE

That's what I mean. When I click the wheel from emulation mode I have Restore Defaults, Save Options and Close. That's it.

THis is bizarre. The only mode I have is BB. Nothing else. Is this coming from my BES administrator?

Well, I called my BES admin and he said nothing like this is filtered through the BES and to call Cingular. I called Cingular and asked for a BB technical specialist. He knew nothing about other browser emulations. He said they did have an Internet browser that he could send down to my BB. I asked him to go ahead and after a reboot, it worked great that one has the option to change the emulations. You just can't do it with the BB built-in browser on Cingular. Problem solved. He also called RIM to ask them about it and RIM guy said "All I have is Blackberry too!" LOL

Maybe the Cingular 3rd party app mystery has been solved. I guess the trick is to ask for the browser with emulation settings???

The Cingular tech just called it the Internet browser. He didn't know about the emulations until I told him.

Does anyone know about the emulation settings for using 7290 and 7100g?
I spoke to a tech support officer who did not know anything about emulation.

Also, I'm trying to access http://3000xtracompanion.reuters.com but I can't seem to be able to view the page correctly on my handheld. I guess emulation is the trick?
