Default 4.5.0.77 memory leak?

Please Login to Remove!

I recently upgraded to 4.5.0.77 for my 8830. I've noticed that my memory seems to slowly drop in the "status" menu until it reaches 0 and then my blackberry essentially freezes. In another thread it was mentioned that earlier versions of 4.5 had memory leak issues... I was wondering if other people have the same issues with 4.5.0.77 or am I looking at possibly another piece of software causing the problems?

I am down to under 2mb now, after starting at around 13mb after my last battery pull a few days ago.

My device does not experience that issue with 4.5.0.77 after I wiped the device with JL_cmder and reload the OS from scratch instead of the upgrade. Though

Default same issue here...

I wiped my device with JL_cmder when moving to this version and I still have this issue too. I normally do a battery pull every other day to prevent losing my call logs, texts & e-mails.

Haven't seen any mention of how to permanently correct this yet.

my bb does slowly have the memory drained as well. I noticed it when I lost emails and text messages. If I get close to 7mb then it starts. So I do a battery pull about every 2 weeks. It starts out around 13 mb and slowly diminishes.

I'm a little nervous to wipe the device so I think I'll just sit it out through November and see if the Storm gets released. If it does I'll get myself an early xmas gift.

Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830)

I get a slow leak but actually at a slower rate than when I was using 4.2
