Bold has 3G, 2mp cam, a faster 624mhz cpu, 480x320 res screen and 128MB of application mem
Jav lacks 3G, 3.2mp cam, slower 512mhz cpu, 480x360 res screen and 256MB of application mem.

And that's the inside. On the outside Javelin is smaller, microSD is behind battery door, has 2 buttons up top (dedicated lock and mute), apparently an "atomic" trackball, and more brushed aluminum look.

You search horribly.

The Javelin is in the Curve family. They're calling it the Curve 8900.
The Bold is the successor to the 8800-series and has the same external dimensions. So it's bigger then the Javelin. Here's a comparison of the Bold to the 8300 (same dimensions as the Javelin): GSM Arena. Don't take any other stats of the 8300 for Javelin stats, just the overall dimensions.

I've been trying to decide between a Curve or a Bold or waiting until Javelin is available in the UK.
Am I likely to notice a huge amount of difference between the Bold with 3G and the Curve/Javelin without if its just for email and occasional browsing of really only text based sites?

I never have enough memory for my applications--- many people have the same problem. Why is RIM so miserly with the memory? Even the Bold only has 128 megs---- I find that incredibly low for such a supposedly powerful device. Interestingly the Javelin has 256 megs---- why would they put twice as much memory in the Javelin compared to the Bold. And most importantly, why do most if not all of the other models currently in production only have 64 megs? I want a pearl with at least 128 megs--- and I don't want that new flip.
