Is it possible to implement tooltips that show the first bit of a post when you hover over a thread title? If everyone named their threads descriptively enough, this wouldn't matter. But we have enough threads titled "need help..." or something similarly non-descriptive that I think this would be really useful.

We'll have to agree to disagree. I still find myself pausing over a title waiting for a tooltip to appear, before I remember, wait, this forum doesn't have them... What drives me nuts is opening a (poorly titled) thread and realizing that it's nothing that interests me, and I could have known that from the tooltip.

Agreed on the disagreement. We've never had them on this forum. I'm guessing the forum's owner doesn't want them and has them disabled. I suppose if enough people wanted them they could be enabled, but it's up to him.

Since I started this thread over a year ago, thought I'd revive it to say........ THANKS BBF! I love the tooltips.
