What is the best price out there on the 7100i -- I have the 7520 and want to upgrade. Thanks!

The Nextel site will quote you $99 but don't get too excited. That is only for new activation. Not upgrades. And, when I called the Nextel Telesales number, they informed me that they aren't even processing upgrade sales yet. Only new activations. They won't even talk to me until after Nov 1 for an upgrade. They referred me to my local retail store. They have units in stock and will sell them to me for an upgrade price of $199 + $35 activation + tax. But, they can't activate them yet so they won't sell me one until they are able. Good luck on your search. I hope I'll have mine within a week or so.

I went to the nextel site and they were going to upgrade mine for 169. plus 15. activation I just didnt have enough money on my expense account credit card

Hey Dawg;

Can you shoot me a link to the Nextel page where you can get that upgrade? The only option I have on line is for a new plan. There is no link for an upgrade purchase.....only a new activation or the Telesales 800 number for upgrades. But then again I was forwarded to the shopnextelconnections.com link because there is no Nextel / Sprint service in my zip code. Only Nextel Partners Inc (www.shopnextelconnecrtions.com)

Thanks Dawg, but I'm afraid that I'm just cursed with trying to get this 7100i. I followed your link and signed in to my Nextel account. But I was still prompted for my zip code and then re-routed back to the page where the only option I have is for new activation. Still can't upgrade. I swear, if Nextel didn't have the PTT and the coverage I need for my business, I would have switched years ago!

I was able to upgrade my 7520 through the website Monday around 12:15 AM... Had my BB since Tuesday AM...

Something must had changed!

I also paid 149.99 in store plus tax and $35 upgrade fee.....being in a partners market sucks...ive never heard anything good about them

I only paid 149.99 because I have a government discount...all the familys phones are through my mom and she works for the local sheriff's department

I got mine 2 days ago, 171.54 out the door, Tampa Florida, Upgrade from 7520, sold the 7520 for $125 so I faired well, wouldn't you agree

yeah if i get one for myself i will trade in my 7520 and my 860..they give me 75 for the bb and 50 for the 860 i think.. so thats not to bad...i really want the 8700 for nextel...please any info on 8700 for nextel i need it in my life

well i just paid 247 online and then got screwed worst then anyone i bought it put it on my credit card get the reciept telling my order is being processed tracking numer and all that just to get another email 10 mins later telling me its on backoder imagine my surprise so i call cumsotmer care (what they care abou i have no clue) for a hour im talking to someone who sounds like they have been with nextel for about 5 minutes no one has a clue when they will have more on top of that i paid for next day air aint that a *****. Now they got my money and i have no phone can i just tell you how im ready to leave nextel this is bs if its on back order they should do like they did for the 930 and make where you cant buy it until its back in stock.
