Default since when did t-mobile bis plan cost more than at&t?

Please Login to Remove!

i remember t-mobile bis plan cost $20 like 2 years ago..and now it is $40!

tmobile bis plan

but at&t bis plan still remain $30 after all these year:

at&t bis plan

originally i was going to switch over to t-mobile cuz of the cheaper plan...but i guess i will stick with at&t now.

If you just get the BB plan, it's $40. If you get a phone plan, it's a $20 add-on, not $40 like the standalone.

Confirmed -- I logged into my T-Mobile account not long ago and saw the $ 19.99 add-on for my voice plan. But if all you need is IM and email, you can actually get the BlackBerry Feature Enabler, which is free.

Can some1 explain more about this Blackberry Feature Enabler for free?

But to clarify, here is my situation. All I really care about is surfing the internet with my bb curve 8310, then come email, and last for voice (only for emegency calls i.e call /recieve friends and family calls in case of emergency). So basically all I need is a bis plan and I already have the device, so no need to purchase new phone.

So any1 here know know what is the cheapest way to do this? Maybe needing to get the cheapest voice plan in order to get the cheapest bis plan? I dunno , so some1 can enlighten me?

ps - I don't want to throw txting into the equation yet to complicate u guys. But I do some txt (maybe 200 txt or less), so if someone can handle it. Let me know what is my total bill at the end of the month and who should I go with? Thanks.

Seems pretty straightforward. Compare the cost of the cheapest voice plan + $19 BIS add-on to having only a BIS data plan. Odds are that the latter is cheaper (I think the cheapest voice plan is $40) as long as you don't make any calls. With data only you're charged per minute on all calls. If you need text messaging then add on the cost of a text messaging plan.

I don't believe AT&T has the BB Feature Enabler option.

Feature Enabler is a T-Mobile deal to give BlackBerry customers with voice only places some BB functions (MMS, BBM and a few others).

i think at&t is my best bet since it is only $30. and i think they charge $.15/min for voice if u dont have a voice plan...compare to tmobile which is $.20/min.

I believe you have to contact T-Mobile and ask them to add it to your account, if I am not mistaken.
