Default T-Mobile Insurance Question

Please Login to Remove!

Ok, I'm wondering, my brother wants my 8320 and I have an insurance with Tmobile. Now, what if I tell Tmo that I lost my 8320, I will pay the $110 deductible, give my old 8320 to my brother and keep the new one. Will this work? Anybody tried it? Thanks

Good idea, I never want to do this. It's him who keeps insisting.

Insurace fraud, yes, how ever you've got to remember as soon as your report your phone lost/stolen, they will block the imei number from being used on any network.

The other problem, besides dishonesty/fraud, is that your brother will be carrying around a stolen phone. If T-Mobile recognizes the original BB as stolen they can shut down the account and/or disable the BB permanently. RIM deactivates the PIN and the device will never be more than a phone/sms device, no data services. They're not completely stupid at T-Mobile. If they notice somebody with the same last name as you using your "stolen" device things could get interesting real fast, for both of you.
