Default can't get UMA connection

Please Login to Remove!

Had 8120 BB phones for about a month now. we have a data package and it's on.
Now we can not connect to UMA in our home.
We used to be able to. but now we just get the dreaded yellow circle with the line through it for wifi connection. Our phones show our wireless connection and our router has the MAC addresses of our BBs but our phones both say
UMA Connection Pref. WIFI preferred
UMA WIFI Available - Green Check mark
Connection - RED X
Status -ISP or wireless network error

We can still browse the web but not with UMA and our phones display our home SSID on the start page of our phones. Says...ROGERS.OURSSID but we keep getting the EDGE signal not the UMA signal.

Last week, both my partner and I had to have both of our BBs upgraded by Rogers because we could not receive or send MMS ( multimedia messages). This issue is fixed now for both of our phones
, the Rogers tech guy did something to our phones.
Can anyone help us with this UMA issue? Thank you
and please be patient with us, We are new to BBs.
Thanks CrystalClear

Try turning off the MAC address authentication on your router.

Sorry becuase of this I could not simply link to the original post

As orignally posted by: rivviepop

Per LINKSYS tech support and RIM use the following values in your router:

DTIM: 2 (1-255)
Fragment Threshold : 2304 (256-2346)
RTS Threshold : 2304 (0-2347)
Beacon Interval : 50 (20-1024 ms)
Channel = 3 (or least used channel in your area)

This has solved many issues with failed UMA connections.

It worked great on my 8120; Ohh and I could only change the DTIM, Beacon, & Channel on my U.S. Robotics router. It is the settings that matter not the Brand/Model router or BB phone.
