funny i still have that problem when i open google map the terminal shutdown and restart again and again...but how to activate bb maps ? any clue ? thks

Why - what does it do better than google?
I like to keep as few overlapping apps on my bb as possible.

I believe that WLS updates more frequently than GMM which seems to be 5 second intervals. WLS shows a speeeeeedometer and it also has a nice movie function.

I am on a Rogers 4.6.0.162 and 2.3.2 of Google Maps installed fine, and there has been no reboots..

If you have trouble getting accuracy closer than 1700 meters, well, I just fixed it somehow by monkeying with the permissions.. now it's fast and locks in. Maybe it just needed a device reboot? Or permissions for 'internet' to be turned on.. I don't know.. but it's fine now. Internet was at prompt before. Now it's at allow.

I also looked at the webpage for that microsoft livesearch thing, though not on the BB and I see it supports 'traffic' for Toronto which is pretty freaking awesome considering the weather network's traffic app is horribly buggy and not supported for the Bold. I'll have to see if the BB app supports traffic too.

just tried downloading google maps with .162 via wifi. opened the google maps icon and it still hangs. then i tried taking out the battery and tried loading it again. same problem it still hangs.

any suggestions?

Do you mean google maps is hanging? I had something similar when I first update gmm to 2.3.2 yesterday on my .167 bold - I waited and it eventually went it - it asked for permissions to access my device radio and now it's working just fine.

Just do the battery remove and replace and it wil all come good not sure why it happens but only seems to be after the installation them all is ok happened to me only an earlier version
