Thumbs up Curve 8310

Please Login to Remove!

I recently (2 weeks ago) got an AT&T 8310 (supposedly unlocked (although I am using it on AT&T so I am not too sure about this)), and I went thru a lot of the updates and stuff that I found on here. I just wanted to say thanks to all of those who create the tutorials and walkthroughs for the no0bs. I have now upgraded it to 4.5, enabling html emails, and making the browser MUCH better than the 4.2 one that was installed.

Thanks again for the info, and I hope to someday be able to help people with the BBs like you all do.

Pretty easy to confirm:
  • Go to Options->Advanced Options->SIM Card
  • Type MEPD
  • If it says "Disabled" by "Network" then you're unlocked.

If you are on BES only and the the version is pre 4.1.6 then you won't see the option for your BES email account.

If you have a BIS account then yes, you should be seeing it for that account.

When I do this, it says "Active" next to "Network".

"Network Subset" / "Service Provider" both say disabled.
