Unhappy Hiding Keyboard Shortcut

Please Login to Remove!

Does anyone know a shortcut for hiding the keyboard? I don't mean just trying to swipe up or down (that doesn't work very often) It's a pain to have to go to the menu every time I want to hide the keyboard.

I saw a shortcut somewhere...either in this forum or some one else. The shortcut was "painless" and worked great. I'll be danged if I can remember the shortcut or find the forum where I saw it.

Suggestion will be appreciated.

To hide the keyboard swipe your finger downward from the top of the keyboard to the bottom of the screen.

You could set a convenience key to show and hide the keyboard.. that's about as painless as I think it gets beside the swipe method.

Convenience key works great... That's what I did. Sometimes you want the keyboard to appear, and it's not there. Either way you are covered.

My swipe up and down works perfect. Do you have latest core apps via DM and running .75? I got home around 5pm today, hooked up my 9530, and DM automatically asked to install upgraded core apps leaving my .75 in place. Where before I left this morning DM was calling .65 "prefered". Now, it just leaves the .75 in place. I was running .75 with older core apps and my keyboard would not swipe up or down nat all. Also had home page issues, all issues resolved and I am loving it. Check for updates on core apps from DM.

I find that if you touch the T key so it lights up and then you swipe down, it works every time.

Hope this helps.

I always swipe down the middle of the keyboard. That works for me!

The keyboard will (90% of the time) hide if you barely highlight (light touch) and then a medium-fast swipe downward. same with upward only all you have to do is a med-fast swipe upward from the bottom edge. This touch screen definitely takes many hours getting use to, but once you get it, you get it..
