Default weird beep?

For email messages, my 7100t makes a strange chirping noise in addition to the selected ringtone. I can't seem to turn that chirping off.

Anyone experiencing the same thing, or know how to disable it?

You may want to try to go into profiles (on main menu) and see what notification you have set for email messages.

I have mine set to vibrate you could set it to silent as well

I have never had the chirping noise

Did you update the software to new release version? Maybe it is a bug

you mean the 4.0 version? As I understand it, it is not "approved" for t-mobile yet...

For T-Mobile there's a 3.8.0.128 update, most people shipped with .112 (I think).

At any rate, even doing an update will not fix this issue.

It seems to affect phones randomly.

It's the tone that's supposed to be played ONLY through your handsfree set (not bluetooth one). Instead of being played only through the handsfree set, it's being played through the regular handset earpiece speaker. No amount of fanagling the device seems to change this outcome. I think it only plays if it vibrates however.

It's a known bug and who knows if they fixed it in the unreleased (to T-Mobile) 4.0 version.
