Today Theme Available for Bold?
Please Login to Remove!
I only recently switched to a Bold from a Curve. On the Curve it had an excellent standard theme supplied with the phone that displayed emails, messages and calendar etc on the home screen which was really useful. I notice that on my Bold (Vodafone UK) there is no such theme. It will tell you on the home screen how many new messages / emails you have but not display any, you have to click on the relevant icon to view them.
Can anyone recommend or advise if such a theme can be downloaded onto the Bold?
Many thanks

Find your MESSAGES icon, and then move it to the top row. Everything on the top row is replicated on the home screen. If you don't have a messages icon, change themes to make sure it didn't get lost somewhere.

The message icon is on the home screen but all that happens is it says 1 message, it does not say the email title like the Today theme on the Curve used to.

I totally second that. I wish Vodafone would step up and put out an awesome Today theme for the Bold.

I have now found this Today theme on the forum which seems to work very well. I even like the black leather background, although this of course could be changed if desired.
http://www.onthearm.com/otajad/com_p...eme_marco2.jad
I tried posting a link but it won't let me. The post / design is by djmarcox (thanks very much D J Marcox!) under title Today Theme For Bold.
Worth looking at for those who want a simple, clean and professional looking screen. And if you don't like the background you can select another wallpaper and change it.
Still find it bizarre that Vodafone don't issue one or more Today themes built in to the Bold, particularly when these phones are primarilly aimed at business people who use it for email.

I found these...
I downloaded a couple of themes and I think they are awesome.
I personally use this one the most - http://www.Zimplifier.com/ota/Leathe...Scrollable.jad
This one is nice too, it is my backup - http://www.Zimplifier.com/ota/CF_Tod...ock_Scroll.jad
Then my fallback is the Marco2 - no wrap (don't have the link handy)
I don't think any quite replace the Vodafone themes but these are very well done.
NOTE: I am not the author of these themes and don't claim to take any credit for them. If you are the author(s) - Great Job!

I like the themes, but I would like to be able to have my own background, to include the background behind the banner.

On most you can, but the tranparency on the leather looked like crap so I had to slice and dice to match it up.

I recently found this site gadgetbean.com and they have numerous themes for the BOLD and other blackberry themes. If you want to have your own background like me, with gadgetbean.com themes you are able to change the background. Their themes are very clean, professional looking and very sharp and not to mention the excellent service.
This is the most recent theme I bought and I love it. Check it out!!

Chris,
They are for OTA download. So basically put the address in your BB browsers address bar and load them that way.
