CSO,
We must have gotten our signals crossed on that question: AMX does not and has never checked CC or BCC lines on an email. The feature is there to check the "TO:" line, and that is what it does. This is not a BB limitation, it is working as designed/expected. You may argue that this is incorrect, and that may be, but this is not a "bug". On the other hand, one of the issues we were working for you was that an Alert was not dismissed automatically when you open an SMS Text message, and this is a BB API lmitation. We are not aware of any work-around.
The purpose of AlertMatrix is to pinpoint emails from a specific person or company, pinpoint emails with a specific phrase in the subject, or pinpoint emails addressed to you. It does this primary mission well. I'm sure our competitor offers different capabilities than AlertMatrix does, although it is hard to imagine that they can trigger off the bcc field or when you receive messages as part of a email-distribution-list.
AlertMatrix's key strengths are the ability to have different priorities on alerts, escalate certain alerts ahead of other than may be in the process of firing, delay alerts with a priority sensitive filter, and snoozing individual alerts when want to address them later. We believe this priority sensitivity is what makes AlertMatrix shine in daily use, helping the user by reducing interruptions and stress.
We would suggest evaluating the other program and see if it is a better fit for your specific needs.
Cheers,
the REXguys
