I am trying to connect to my home wireless secured router. I can scan and find the router but then the BB does a 5:00 countdown and it times out without connecting.

I try to manually connect and enter all the info and pick the PEK security and enter password but does not work.

I try the push button set up from my router and it also times out without connecting.

I can set up the WIFI if the connection is not on a secured router without a problem.

Can anyone please help me with connecting to my home secured router?

I just realized the other day that you need to switch the browser from "Internet Browser" to "Hotspot Browser" to access non-public (i.e. intranet) web sites.

You can try other types of security. You can also try simpler password which is hard to mistype, for example 12345

Worst case, disable security but enable MAC filtering.

You have not listed what type of router you use but what you describe is miscommunication between device and router, most likely due to incompatible security protocol or mismatched security configuration settings.
