Default Alarm not working in Quiet mode

Please Login to Remove!

Not sure if this has already been posted recently but my 8310 is relatively new...about 4 weeks old and just recently when i have it in quiet mode the alarm has not being sounding. The alarm goes off, but the screen just flashes asking me to dimiss or snooze. All settings are correct and have been checked, software versions are up to date and the alarm is set correctly i.e. with a tone and for the correct time. Has anyone else experienced this?

Yes, but only when the phone is in quiet mode. When sounds are enabled, my alarms do make noise as expected.

A battery pull is something that you should do on a regular basis. It will not harm the unit or the battery.

With the phone ON, remove the battery. Leave it out for 30 seconds or so and replace it. Let the phone start back up.

It fixes lots of things.

Try setting the alarm to vibrate and tone...just a thought. The vibrate wakes me before the alarm sounds helping the alarm scare the hell out of me...lol

lol thats a good thought...I really hate getting frightened first thing in the morning!!! I did a battery pull...seems to be workin fine now. But in saying that I did a battery pull I actually turned it off first and then pulled the battery out and then put it back in. And has been wroking fine since!...here's hoping it stays that way!!

No need to turn off the device while doing the battery pull. Read this FAQ
