Running Blackberry Manager 4.1.4.17 on a few newer Curves.

1) Is there a way to control which Outlook Inbox subfolders and folders on the Mailbox hierarchy are synched? I assume this can be done on the handheld, but do any changes need to be made in BB Manager? If those folders are removed from synching, does the BB simply remove/hide emails moved to other folders in Outlook from the Inbox on the BB?

2) Is there an easy way to keep track of how much free space is left on the device?

3) Filling up the device's free space allotment with email is a concern of my users. They receive tons of email per day, have hundreds of contacts, and thousands of emails between the inbox/subfolders. Is there an easy way to have the BB delete old emails on the device ONLY when a certain amount of time has passed or when a certain storage size is reached? I know when BB runs out of memory it will start dumping email, but that is too random and unpredictable. I'm assuming there is a way of clearing old emails on the BB only other than manually deleting them... is there a policy/mass way of doing this?

Any advice/links appreciated.

Options/Status on the Curve has a reading called File Free. Unless I'm mistaken, this is the static reading for free space that you were looking for.

The Properties of the User has a section called BlackBerry Device (read-only). On of the items listed is Status, which, when selected, reveals an item called Available Memory (listed in mb).

Selection of which subfolder you want re-directed is under Messages / Options / Email Setting / Menu - Folder Redirection. Expand the mailbox and check off the folders you want.

Message age is controled with Messages / Options / General Options / Keep messages - # days.

I'd go through and make sure you delete the sample video and any un-needed applications from the BB. Boxtone has a neat little app that can track your memory.
