Default BB Software Version Upgrade

Please Login to Remove!

This may sound like a dumb question lol but if the software on your BB needs upgrading does it automatically get sensed when it is connected to a PC and then just downloaded onto the phone?

With Desktop Manager 4.7 installed with the BlackBerry Automatic Update option selected, and an Internet Connection when you run Desktop Manager, it will automatically detect your device's OS, and offer to download and install the update if available.

You can get it here:

I STRONGLY recommend getting "Desktop Manager 4.7.0 B50 English - Without Media Manager":

I had a look in Desktop manager as it said the following, if I have searched the correct thing:

Verify that your system administrator or wireless service provider has provided you with a link to the BlackBerry® Device Software.
Close the BlackBerry Desktop Manager if it is open.
Download the BlackBerry Device Software.
Double-click the BlackBerry Device Software setup program file on your computer.
Complete the instructions on the screen.
Connect your BlackBerry device to your computer.
Open the BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
Click Update Now.
Complete the instructions on the screen.

Where would you dowload the BlackBerry Device Software...does it automatically pop up once you connect the device via the USB cable?
