Default Theme forum suggestion

Please Login to Remove!

I dont know if this would be of interest but in the old days all the themes were free, just created and shared but now I notice alot of folks are making them and selling them. Would it make sense to have a free theme sub-forum and a for sale theme sub-forum? Just a thought.

Would that help something?

We already require themes posted to whether they are free of commercial.

I think that when other sites are like that people tend to post things in either one or the other or get them confused so you have to look at both to see the new themes...just seems like extra work to me.

I agree that it might not serve its intended purpose. BCollins521 makes a good point. Posters would probably post to both sites anyway. Especially the theme builders that are selling theirs. I have to be honest, I don't mind paying a little for quality work. Some of these themes are awesome. (Pittsburgh Steelers!!)

Valid question. I think it would serve two purposes. 1-folks looking for only free ones would have a place to look without reading through and finding out it is 7 bucks. 2-I think if someone is trying to make a living creating themes they should buy ad space. I am not really a theme hound as I have one I use but I like looking. Again just a thought and seems a bit more organised to me.

I think for folks like you that dont mind paying for a theme it would make it easier for you and easier for folks who are only looking for free themes.

Why would you post a theme that you charge for in a free section? I like this idea. I don't like paying for themes, so a section where they are all free is pretty nice.

Take a look at a forum that goes by the abbreviation of PS, (no not photoshop) the theme structure there is all kinds of messed up and even the free themes aren't posted in the right spot

2 issues there. Peeps need to be told when posting in the wrong sections and as heere the mods need to do some house cleaning. I always see threads moved here to where they are suppose to be.
