Default Is my pearl dying?

Okay so the last few days now the loading hour glass when the phone is processing doesn't stop flashing at all. Every few seconds it pops up for a second. And I left it plugged in to charge last night like I do every night and after about 5 hours it had hardly any charge left to it and I've hardly used it today compared to what I normally use it. I've tried battery pulls and freeing up some memory and stuff to see if that might of helped with the hour glass constantly popping up and it's not solving it. I noticed the phone getting a bit slower when I'm using it too. At the moment the phone has 11,759,823 bytes free and that doesn't really change after a battery pull. It had about 10,000,000 something bytes prior to removing a couple smaller programs off the phone that I don't really use. Any idea's?

That's actually pretty low. I can't see your device type. If its an 8100 you can get much more. If its an 8120 or 8130 you can get more too but not as much as an 8100.

Use the link in my signature to free up memory. Make sure any pictures are being stored on a micro SD card.

The hourglass is definitely indicative of low memory. What 3rd party applications do you have installed?

Okay so my memory card is full of music so my pictures I took all off my phone and saved them on my laptop which put up a fair bit and then I uninstalled a couple more programs that I don't really use too much either. Now I'm at 13,622,984 now and I'm not noticing the hourglass popping up right now. Still seems pretty slow to respond when I'm typing fast but as long as the characters come up right when they do come up I don't care. And it's an 8130 by the way.

Media on the SD card won't slow down the device. That's not too bad for an 8130. What other 3rd party apps are you running?

Okay so all I've actually got on it now that didn't come already on the phone is Facebook for Blackberry's and I have a sudoku program and Texas Hold'em King 3. Everything else came on the phone already.

Okay so the phone is apparently still acting exactly the same with 14,242,194 bytes free. Still constantly popping up with the hourglass and the phone lags really bad in general. When I type sometimes I can type over 10 characters before it catches up and displays them and it messes up when I use the key for capitols while it's still trying to catch up. Is it posible the battery isn't good anymore or it somehow got water damage?

It's not the battery and probably not water damage. Did it get water damage? You would be the only one to know.

Do you have a media card in the device? Could be the device scanning the media card. If so, remove the media card and see how the device reacts. If it's not the media card, make sure you're running the latest OS.

I have a pearl and it seems to lag a lot. I'll delete all the garbage that I have but never use and see it it helps.

Okay so I still can't figure out what's going on. If I take the media card out it's still flashing the hour glass and the battery is drain real fast! Like within 5 hours I'm getting a low battery warning.

Oh and as for water damage I don't think it should have any. But to keep my trackball working I'm always having to wet my finger with some rubbing alcohol and rub it around on the trackball to get it to work again. I don't really wanna risk breaking anything taking it apart to clean. I know it won't end up back together in one working piece. lol Never wet it too much though.

Okay so I think I figured out the problem here. I wasn't getting my notifications on Facebook for Blackberry's and I thought maybe the phone was constantly trying to connect with something and that was the only thing I could think of left on the phone that might cause an issue like that. So I removed it from my phone and within the half hour following I was getting completely bombed with old emails and facebook notifications and stuff that had been sent to my email address. After recieving like 50+ emails to my phone and deleting them as they showed up my phone seems to be working a lot better. =) So if anyone else is having a similar problem I'd definitely recommend trying the same thing.
