Default Dropped My Storm.... Again!

Please Login to Remove!

I dropped my Storm in them mens room yesterday onto a tile floor. When it hit the floor it made a "clack clack" sound as it bounced. The back, the battery and the BB flew in different directions. I installed the battery and the back cover and it fired right up. This is probably the 5th or 6th time I have dropped it. My Storm has proven to be pretty durable.

A nice rubber skin or case on that baby would be in order for your butterfingers!

Did this last night. Managed to take a nice chunk out of two corners. I was upset for about 30 seconds, and then said to myself: It's just a phone - who cares? If you were wojndering, the silver on the edges is just at the top layer. It's black plastic underneath

I got an OEM 8830 case for it a while back. Fits nice. Does anyone know if it will still fit in the case with a skin on it?

I had my Storm for almost three weeks before I received the case. During that time I had it in my shirt pocket. Need I say more?

I have a skin on mine and it fits fine in the specific case made for the Storm.

Haha, today I dropped my storm on the way out of a Circle K ... Bounce, Bounce and only nicked one of the corners, it is true ... Black plastic under the fake chrome. I will try and post pictures soon, I am way too tired to play with the Camera.

Can you post a picture of it Andy. Was hoping to see that. An all black Storm. And how did you do about doing it?

I dropped mine on concrete once (it landed on the silver trim ring), it didn't leave any scratches or nicks, but I cant remember if the glass covering the camera was flush with the silver trim or not prior to the drop. Since then I have been very careful not to drop it on anything that could potentially damage the finish.
I have the OEM Blackberry premium leather horizontal holster (just became available about a month ago). I think it was causing some problems with random freezes and lockups, until the leather became conditioned to the size of the phone. My old 8700 which by 3 months into owning it, had many scratches and nicks in the finish that could always be buffed out.

Idiot.

How can you drop it that dam much? Dam if you treat your storm like that. I can just imagine how you will treat your kids, or how you do.

Grow up! get rid of those butter fingers. And hold you storm in contact.

I've dropped my Storm too plenty of times! It is very durable. I remember seeing a video that said that the Storm was "unscratchable" and so far, with the roughness my kids have when they get a hold of my phone, they have never had a problem with scratching it, which is amazing seeing as how my Curve is all scratched up!
