Default Error 507

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, my 8300 screen is white with the rectangle and circle with line through it. I took several steps including a hard reset and trying again to load applications. However, my desktop manager is not recognizing/detecting my blackberry and I cannot get the error 507 symbol off my blackberry. Any suggestions?

507 means you have no OS on your device. Follow these steps to load the OS on your 8300. I hope you have a recent backup.

Thanks, I tried this several times but the problem is that my PC Desktop Manager is not connecting to my 8300 and I cannot get the error message off my 8300. After going through the application loader process, I never get a connection and I get a connection prompt that says "The desktop loader is unable to connect to the device". I did soft, double-soft and hard resets with no luck. Does anyone know if a master reset might work and how to do that? I'm basically OK doing a clean wipe of the device to start all over because I do have a recent backup. But, I don't know how to do that.

Make sure you are connected directly to an on-board USB port, not a USB hub.

Thanks, forgot to mention that I did that too, directly to the PC USB hub and not through the docking station.
