Default Blackberry Selecting without me pushing anything

Please Login to Remove!

here is wat happened.

Out of the blue my ball stopped selecting. I would push it down and it wouldn't work. Then i fixed it, now again i have another problem. As soon as i turn it on it just starts selecting stuff nonstop. It seems like when i push a different button sch as the back button, it will occasionally act as if i hit that and the ball at the same time.

Am i screwed or is there anyway to fix it. My mom said it might be humitity, but I'm not sure.

Your Mom sounds smart. This is usually from moisture or liquid. I would pull the battery and put in a warm dry place for a couple of days and try again. If that fails you can try removing the trackball and replacing. You can get replacement trackballs from the link in my signature.

Good Luck!

Wirelessly posted (VZW 8830)

I had the same problem with my 8830 that lasted for months. I finally laid it on my furnace vent for the afternoon and it fixed it for a while. When it started again I put it close enough to a video projector bulb fan which appears to have permanently resolved the problem.
