Default Change Calendar to Different One?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi All:

Just a question, I recently changed my Gmail BIS email from POP to IMAP. In doing so, you delete the old POP Gmail and input the IMAP Gmail in its place on the BIS.

The problem is that all my Calendars on my BlackBerry were linked to the Gmail account as well. Now since I deleted the old one, all the Calendars are now listed under the calendar "Device Default" and are not lined to the new"@gmail.com" address

Is there a way to mass-move all the events from "Device Default" to my Gmail account? Preferably on the Device instead of Desktop Manager (since I'm at work now and use the calendar constantly); although a DM solution would also be appreciated.

I would like this done because none of my themes recognize the calendar in the "Today" theme because they are looking in my "@gmail.com" calendar (which I have set as CICAL default), which is now empty.

Default Same problem

Next time, I'll turn my phone off before deleting the account in the hope that it will not turn my calendar events into "default".

As a workaround, I changed my desktop manager to sync one way, from Outlook to the BB, and synced only future events back to my BB. I ended up having to delete the duplicate "default" events, but it didn't take that long. Then I changed the desktop sync settings to my regular ones and all is well.

Now my Today theme shows the calendar events again.

Its troubling how many people experienced this problem with the BIS upgrade, myself being one of them who wanted to smash my phone as I experienced even more problems than just the Calendar issue you described. I got very lucky because of my daily synch with Outlook - I just deleted the Calendar DB in Desktop Manager, double-checked to see my gmail account was back to the default CICAL service and then re-synced in Outlook. Every entry zipped over quickly....

Same happened to me.

I use Google Calendar Sync. I should have logged off, deleted all the calendar/contact records. Then delete the gmail account.

After re adding the gmail, check to make sure the new gmail is the default calendar then sign back in to google calendar sync and re download everything.

There should be a more streamlined method, but it works now.
