Can you have a Sticky thread for " Blackberry Carrier Specific"

AT&T
AVEA
ETISALAT
Fido
Indosat Matrix
O2
Maxis
Rogers Wireless
Sprint
T-Mobile
Verizon
Vodafone
Wind

and so on

And then in each section, user per carrier can discuss with each other, problems that occur, what works, their data plan, and so on.

Ray

I like the idea, however that would be A LOT of stickies. Here is a list of carriers.

Blackberry Device Specific has 10 Sticky, maybe for Carrier you can keep it down to the top 10
Roger / Fido can be together,
T-mobile usa / Europe together
and so on

That isn't a good idea. T-Mobile USA and the T-Mobile Europe carriers are very different companies. Yes, they have the same parent, but they are vastly different.

There are simply too many carriers in the world that offer BlackBerry service, and if you limit to the top ten, people will feel left out.

Further, since many people on this forum cannot seem to post in the correct section as it is, I can see this getting seriously messy if there were carrier sections. People posting about Zain BH in the Verizon section, posting about Vodafone India in the Rogers section, etc. You get the picture.

Agreed.

How about only one forum titled "Carrier Issues"

If it was heavily moderated, yes, that could work. There would need to be VERY strict rules on thread titles and content. Titles would need to AT LEAST have carrier and country, thread would need to contain an EXACT description of the issue, the device model in use, area of the country where the issue occured, as well as exact times and dates.

Example of a good thread:

Title: Receiving gprs only on QTel Qatar

Post:
In the West Bay area of Doha near the Movenpick hotel, I only receive gprs on my Vodafone-branded Storm 9500. Everywhere else in downtown Doha I receive 3G. Are there any known outages in this area?

Sometimes carrier issues could be about plans or coverage.
Stickies could be placed on top with carrier links.

True, but the same policies would need to apply.

Yes. We would have to be consistent. Possibly a simpler framework than what we have for themes or WTB/WTS sections.
