Default out of date password message very regular?

Please Login to Remove!

Got the good lady a BB 8700 as she liked mine so much,
hers came unlocked (was on o2) and it policy free, updated it to the latest OS (same as mine), but it seems that every week it needs a new password, i have looked through the settings and from what i can see they are the same as mine (mine pops up once a month if that),

any idea's??

What needs a new password - the device or an email account?

As gar as I know only, IT policy adjusts how often the password needs to be changed. Are you sure the IT policy is cleared? Check under Options->Security->General Settings. If you see anything under IT policy name, it means the IT policy still exists.
