Default Help...anyone who purchased storm from best buy!

Please Login to Remove!

Hi

I purchased my storm in December from best buy and i have their insurance. They gave me a hard time when i took it in for freezing and told me to update it. Now i am getting angry about the dust in my screen. I want i replacement when i go to the store. Has anyone done this? any tips? anything? Is there a way to add verizons insurance and use that instead? Help please!

I purchased mine from Wirefly in November and had dust issues 2 weeks ago. I went to the VZW store and they replaced it under warranty - No insurance needed.

Ditch the Best Buy insurance immediately. They have terrible warranty and insurance procedures.

The go to the VZW Store and insure your device through Asurion. It's $4.99 a month and well worth it.

I agree with the Best Buy insurance... If you want insurance use Asurion. However, you do not need insurance of any kind for the dust under the screen issue. You will have better luck calling VZW Tech Support and just telling them you have the dust problem and they will overnight you a new device.

I just went through this process, as have others here. It should work out fine. Good luck!

FYI according to VZW you have 15 days to sign up with Asurion from the day of activation .

i just tried calling and they said theres nothing they can do and that i should go to the store....so i guess i will try that?

Default I have The Black Tie Warranty from Best Buy

I guess it just depends on the Best Buy location and staff.
Every issue that i have had has been settled NO Questions!
Staff either replaced or fixed immediatley

LOL, yea I found out the hard way.
When I went in to ask about them fixing my dead pixles, they told me 1-1.5 months MINIMUM without a phone, and if I did want a temp phone it'd be $150 deposit on a shitty flip phone.

I cancelled that insurance and got my bank to credit me back those 2 months of $9.99 on the premise of misinformation...f'ing sales people only want the comission off of the warranty sale!

BB sux!
VZW insurance (which I am working on getting NOW) will be added onto your phone immediately, regardless of your situation (as long as the active phone on your account as it hasn't been lost of course) I got the direct number to the insurance company becuase VZW might not be willing to put it on your account after X amount of months.
